ZARA McDermott’s pals have hit out at her ex Sam Thompson over a “pathetic” swipe at her amid her new romance with Louis Tomlinson.
The Sun revealed this week Zara, 28, and Louis, 33, have enjoyed a string of romantic dates.

And Made In Chelsea star Sam couldn’t resist commenting on his split from the Love Island star when relationship expert Paul Brunson joined him on his podcast yesterday.
He mused about people moving on quickly and said: “A lot of people look for validation in other people and they look for the next person instantly…
“It’s like, ‘I need to find someone else to fill that hole and I need to find that excitement.’
“You know when you get that excited feeling when you are talking to someone new and fresh? I can’t do that.”
The Daily Mail reports Zara’s friends were less than impressed with the comments.
One asked: “Why would he do this?”
They continued: “Zara put a lot into her relationship with Sam: she did everything she could to make it work for five years, but in the end she just couldn’t.
“He’s a loose cannon, as we saw with his comments so soon after Zara’s relationship was made public. It’s really quite pathetic of him. It feels like it always has to be about him.
“Six months ago he was crying in the street with photographers watching because he was upset at Zara. You have to wonder what he is going to say next.
“Why can’t he just let her move on? Will she ever escape his clutches? Who knows.”
It’s not the first time Sam took aim at his split from Zara this week as he mocked the break-up on social media.
Sam roped in sister Louise, 34, her fiance Ryan Libbey and their son Leo for the post
They were all dressed as characters from Harry Potter with Sam putting on a show to the viral audio from the chess scene in the Philosopher’s Stone movie.
He captioned the post: “‘I wonder what he’s been up to since the break up?’”
