ZARA McDermott has reached out to Maura Higgins and sent her support after they both came under fire for drama in their love lives.
This week The Sun revealed Zara, 28, is enjoying a new romance with One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson after a string of dates – just months after her split from Sam Thompson.
And earlier this month we told how Danny Jones had a drunken kiss with Maura, 34, at the Brit Awards despite being married to wife Georgia, 38.
Maura recently split from Sam’s best mate Pete Wicks so it’s likely she and Zara spent time together.
When Zara shared a new snap on Instagram showing her back to work on her latest documentary, Maura commented with the clapping hands emoji.
And Zara was quick to respond, showing her support for the former Love Island star with two heart emojis.
Just hours after Zara and Louis’ budding romance was reveaeled Sam made a dig with a comment about people moving on too quickly.
He had Celebs Go Dating expert on his Staying Relevant podcast this week and told him: “A lot of people look for validation in other people and they look for the next person instantly…
“It’s like, ‘I need to find someone else to fill that hole and I need to find that excitement.’
“You know when you get that excited feeling when you are talking to someone new and fresh? I can’t do that.”
Zara’s friends have since slammed Sam for his “pathetic” comments, insisting she has every right to move on.
A pal told the Daily Mail: “He’s a loose cannon, as we saw with his comments so soon after Zara’s relationship was made public. It’s really quite pathetic of him. It feels like it always has to be about him.
“Six months ago he was crying in the street with photographers watching because he was upset at Zara. You have to wonder what he is going to say next.
“Why can’t he just let her move on? Will she ever escape his clutches? Who knows.”
