X Factor star reveals ‘horrors’ that took place in iconic mansion where Little Mix lived – as it goes on sale for £5m

X FACTOR star Marcus Collins has lifted the lid on the “horrors” that took place in the iconic mansion where contestants lived.

The swanky Hertfordshire pad was home to ITV contestants in 2010 and 2011.

The property boasts six bedrooms, a sauna and a swimming pool[/caption]

It welcomed its doors to the likes of Little Mix, One Direction and Olly Murs when they competed on the singing show.

TikTok star Horror Housing has given an insight inside the property – which boasts four downstairs receptions and a swimming pool.

The six-bedroom house seems to be last listed on property website Rightmove for £4,950,000.

The property has many features from an home cinema where the contestants could unwind, to a sauna, steam room and gym.

Each bedroom had its own en suite and there was plenty of space to relax with huge living areas – decorated with crushed velvet sofas.

The TikToker said: “This is the living room and some people might suggest it does look a little but outdated.

“I don’t hate it but I don’t absolutely love it.”

And someone who also didn’t love the house was former contestant Marcus, who took part in the singing competition back in 2011.

The West End star, 36, who finished as the runner-up on the eighth series, took to the comments to share his experience.

Marcus wrote: “The horrors that took place in here. You guys have no idea.”

He continued: “People were up to all kinds.

“We didn’t have NDA’s, we generally just can’t be a***d reliving it as whatever we share gets twisted and everyone chimes in until the initial point is lost.”

Marcus is known for competing against Little Mix in the final, with the girl group winning the show.

He was mentored by Take That frontman Gary Barlow, who continued to work with him on his debut album, which was a Top Ten hit.

His debut single Seven Nation Army, a cover of The White Stripes hit, also featured in the Top Ten.

Since his rise to fame, Marcus has switched his attention to musical theatre and is known for his work in the West End, which includes the productions of Kinky Boots and Hairspray.

Last March Marcus popped the question to Colm Tracey, 32, while on holiday with Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall.
