A TEENAGER and a woman have been “sexually assaulted” at a Sainsbury’s supermarket in Surrey.
The pair were shopping at the store in Cherstey on January 23 when the incident took place between 1pm and 2pm, police say.
A man who witnesses the scene stepped in and told the suspect to leave the store, and leave the victims alone.
However, police are appealing for more witnesses to come forward.
A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a report of stalking and sexual assault in Chertsey last week.
“We are now interested in speaking to any individuals who may have witnessed the incident, particularly the male member of the public who helped the victims.
“If you have any information which may help our investigation, please contact us via 101 or direct message, quoting PR/45250008927.”
