Fans of the new show Deli Boys desperately want a season two. The Hulu show created by journalist Abdullah Saeed, follows two Pakistani-American brothers who take over their family’s deli, only to find out it’s actually a front for a much shadier business.

The comedy of errors that follows after this forms the heart of the show, Deli Boys. Producer Jenni Konner, known for Girls and Welcome to Chippendales, thus, recently dropped some exciting hints, and fans can’t wait to see what’s next!
Jenni Konner has some news about Deli Boys‘ Season 2!
Jenni Konner, recently in an interview with Indie Wire, revealed about the blood, sweat, tears, and the five years that went to bring Deli Boys to Hulu.
The series follows that the brothers Raj and Mir, who unexpectedly inherit their father’s deli, only to learn it is linked to a Philadelphia drug lord. With the criminal empire gone, the brothers are left juggling deli duties and a surprising stash of cocaine.
It was most certainly a fresh breath of air, many did not expect! Jenni Konner first discovered creator Abdullah Saeed’s original voice just before the pandemic and knew it was something special. And now fans know it too, in the interview, she revealed,
Yes, absolutely. I mean, when you’re in a writers room — this is happening in “Nobody Wants This” too — you’re always like, “that’s a really good idea — for next season.” Just great ideas [but it’s] too early to do it, and I think it’s really fun. We have a lot of ideas, and probably 99 percent of them will change, but it’s really fun to have ideas and a vague map for what it might be. Stories it was too soon to tell.

Although there is still uncertainty, fans are crossing their fingers that Deli Boys makes a comeback soon! With its perfect mix of laughs, family drama, and deli chaos, viewers are indeed hungry for more!
Here’s what needs to happen for Deli Boys to come back for more laughs!
Deli Boys may have charmed critics and the fans, but will it be enough to secure a second season? The comedy scored an impressive 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, earning praise for its storytelling and standout performances. With a respectable 7.6/10 average rating.

While critics embraced the show’s unique blend of humor and family drama, some felt the comedy’s tone wasn’t always consistent. Still, positive reviews are only part of the equation when it comes to securing a renewal. In the world of TV, viewership numbers often hold more weight, and that’s where Deli Boys still has something to prove.
The good news? As a new comedy series, Deli Boys doesn’t have many things to lose, it also doesn’t carry the hefty production costs of long-running shows, which works in its favor. For now, fans remain hopeful that Raj, Mir, and Auntie Lucky will return to serve up more chaos.
Deli Boys is streaming on Hulu.
