THE simmering tensions between Brooklyn Beckham and his family appeared to be slowly defrosting – all thanks to his little sister Harper.
As the teen turned 14 yesterday, Brooklyn chose to post a picture of himself and wife Nicola Peltz posing alongside Harper with the caption: “We love you”.

It looked like a remarkable key change, friends note, given Brooklyn’s decision to publicly snub dad David’s 50th birthday and Victoria on Mother’s Day on social media.
But those close to Brooklyn say the Instagram post is NOT an olive branch, adding: “There is too much water under the bridge.”
A source explained: “Brooklyn and Harper were always incredibly close.
“He adores her and so does his wife Nicola. They have an incredibly close bond and despite everything that has gone on, Brooklyn idolises her.
Tensions over money
“He wanted to put out a message on social media for her to show this bond still exists.
“He wanted this to be about Harper and he wanted to show people how much he and Nicola care about her.
“This is not an olive branch however. Just because they love Harper and want to show their affection, doesn’t mean they’re trying to make amends with the family.”
The tensions between Brooklyn and his parents, The Sun understands, were sparked by conversations about money with the Peltzs accusing the Beckhams of being “tight” — allegations which were firmly rebuffed by Team DVB who say they have always helped their kids but won’t spoil them.
The ensuing feud has since made headlines, with Brooklyn accused of drifting further and further apart from his family, with the couple not attending any of David’s birthday parties earlier this year.
Tellingly, however, those close to the family say Brooklyn has still not reached out directly to Harper, who does not have an account on the social media site.
They also add that he has still not met up with his family — including Harper — despite being in London in May.
At the time, The Sun revealed how Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, had returned to the capital to film a huge new advert for clothing brand Moncler.
Despite being less than ten minutes away from the Beckhams’ family home in west London, Brooklyn did not contact his family.
Those close to Brooklyn said at the time the shoot had a quick turnaround and that there was no hurt intended.

But those close to David, 50, and Victoria, 51, begged to differ.
A second insider said: “The tensions are still there sadly and there’s been no real key change in Brooklyn’s behaviour.
“It feels like Brooklyn has cut the entire family out. Not to contact them when he was in London felt like a low blow.

“Of course he loves his sister, nothing would ever change that. But this isn’t an olive branch. It feels like it’s for show.”
Last month, insiders told The Sun the real reason behind Brooklyn’s rift with his parents — explaining it was sparked by a row over money.
Brooklyn and Nicola, who wed in April 2022, have bought a palatial new home in the states which cost them just over £10.5million.
Those close to Brooklyn and Nicola claimed that David and Victoria were “tight” and hadn’t helped out with financing the move.
But those close to the Beckhams claimed this was “nonsense,” adding: “David and Victoria will always support Brooklyn if and when he needs it.

“When he was setting up on his own, they would regularly help him out — as parents do — but they won’t spoil him. They still help all their grown-up kids.”
Brooklyn and Nicola then chose to swerve David’s 50th birthday parties, with a source close to the family insisting that Brooklyn had not reached out to speak with his father. “It’s all been incredibly painful,” our insider added.

“Things haven’t been easy. But they are steadfast in the fact that they will always love their son. They just want the best for him and for him to be happy.”
Earlier this year The Sun told how David and Victoria were left hurt by Brooklyn after he shared a post appearing to directly reference the tensions.
Writing on Instagram, Brooklyn shared a post with Nicola which read: “I always choose you baby.”
Insiders close to the former Spice Girl and ex England captain said they were “devastated” by the lack of contact and said they believed Nicola was “controlling” Brooklyn, an allegation their team has denied.
Door is always open
Our source added: “It’s very sad for everyone involved, especially David and Victoria who love him very much. This isn’t the Brooklyn his family knows and loves.
“This post was like a dagger to their hearts.”
Those close to Brooklyn however insist there was nothing untoward about the post, telling The Sun: “They are unbelievably smitten and for him, social media is another way of showing his love.
“Brooklyn would be happy to meet his parents behind closed doors and hopes for a reconciliation.”
On Harper’s special day, David and Victoria, as per tradition, shared never-before-seen photos of her on their social media accounts with gushing tributes.

Victoria wrote next to her snaps: “Happy birthday to my world!!
“You are my everything and I’m so proud of the strong, confident, kind and talented young lady you are becoming.
“You’re my best friend and I’m so lucky I get to be your mummy. We love you so so much.”
David added: “Happy Birthday to Daddy’s Pretty Lady. To the most special precious young lady who is kind and beautiful inside and out.
“We love you Harpie.”
Our insider added: “David and Victoria love all their children, they are their world and they’d move heaven and Earth for all of them.
“It’s sad that it has come to this with Brooklyn. But their door is always open.
“They hope one day things will go back to the way they were but right now, no one is holding their breath.”
Posh and Becks’ plan to make Harper Beckham a star
David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly planning to help their daughter Harper become a star. The couple, who have already seen their sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz venture into the public eye, are said to be keen on guiding their youngest child into the limelight. Harper, who is 13 years old, has already shown a keen interest in fashion and beauty, much like her mother, Victoria.
Victoria, a former Spice Girl turned fashion designer, and David, an ex-footballer, believe that Harper has the potential to make a significant impact in the entertainment industry. They are allegedly exploring various opportunities for her, including social media ventures and brand collaborations. The Beckhams are known for their savvy business acumen and are reportedly ensuring that Harper’s foray into stardom is carefully managed.
The couple’s decision to support Harper’s ambitions comes as no surprise, considering their own successful careers and the prominence of their family in the media. With her parents’ guidance and the resources at their disposal, Harper could very well follow in their footsteps and carve out her own niche in the world of fashion and entertainment.
