“Why are we in Paris right now?”: The Hangover Part 4 Writes Itself, Seth Rogen’s Wild Drug-Fueled International Rampage is One for the History Books

Apart from the big screen, Hollywood stars have several personal stories that are equally entertaining, if not more. In this, Seth Rogen’s funny international escapade would definitely be in the top three. The actor, known for his comedic roles, could have truly inspired the fourth installment of The Hangover. While in the movies the cast woke up to tigers and missing teeth, Rogen actually ended up in an entirely different country.

This time, instead of marijuana, he tried something even stronger, and it’s safe to say that his journey after that was quite interesting, to say the least.

How Seth Rogen’s Amsterdam trip turned into a Hangover-style adventure

Seth Rogen is among the most sought-after comedy actors in Hollywood, with a slew of hilarious movies to his name. Even apart from his professional endeavors, the actor has been quite vocal about his real-life wild stories. Not to forget his interview via Independent, where he openly detailed his love for marijuana. While this is true, his most outrageous drug-fueled adventure involved something stronger.

The actor had actually eaten magic mushrooms, and in similar Hangover-style fashion, he woke up in an entirely different country. He detailed all of this in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel and stated that all of this started when he and one of his friends decided to indulge in some psychedelic fun during a trip to Amsterdam.

They had the plan sorted out as well and were going to buy some supplies, have a picnic at the park, and enjoy their trip—literally.

However, after a while things quickly spiraled out of their control, and Rogen realized that he immediately needed a washroom. So, he barged into a tiny cafe, which left the unsuspecting patrons completely horrified. While this was meant to be a quick stop, it soon turned into an hour-long ordeal, with the actor also adding that he doesn’t even remember if he even used the washroom or not.

After he left the cafe, he went out to search for his equally distorted friend, who was in a full-blown paranoid mode. Moreover, they were convinced that they needed to leave the city immediately and stumbled their way to the train station. Without even an ounce of thought, they purchased tickets to Paris.

Several hours later, as the effects of the drugs began to wear off, they found themselves roaming the streets of the French capital. That’s when the inevitable question hit: “Why are we in Paris right now?”

This real-life story of Rogen could truly be converted into a Hangover sequel. So, Todd Phillips needs to hurry, as if the fourth installment ever happens, Seth Rogen already has the script ready.

The end of Seth Rogen and James Franco’s friendship

In recent years, James Franco has been under a lot of scrutiny, all thanks to the controversy that involved his students from his acting school in 2018. Since then, almost everyone in the industry has separated themselves from the actor, even one of his closest friends, Seth Rogen.

Things quickly gained fire when Franco openly admitted in an interview that he and Rogen are no longer on speaking terms.

After which all eyes were on Rogen, who then responded to the entire matter in his own way. He barely acknowledged it in an interview via Esquire and said, “I absorb so little media that it really wasn’t on my radar.”

But Franco, on the other hand, had a lot to say and detailed his true emotions in an interview via Variety. He shared, “I haven’t talked to Seth,” despite their long history that started with Freaks and Geeks in 1999.

Seth Rogen has mostly avoided adding more to the fallout and has quietly distanced himself away from Franco since 2021. Only time will tell whether these two will sort things out or not.
