Gigi Hadid revealed how she met Bradley Cooper and it may involve a certain A-list mom!

The 29-year-old model is Vogue’s April cover star and got candid about her relationship with the 50-year-old actor/director in a March 11 interview, revealing that they met at a backyard birthday party for a child of their mutual friend. Yep, celebrity single parents are also using kids’ birthday parties to meet other parents!

Though she didn’t say exactly who introduced them, our money is on Blake Lively. Back in September 2023, Cooper and Hadid both attended a birthday party for Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ daughter Inez. Cooper brought his daughter, Lea, and Hadid took her daughter, Khai. The star-studded affair was also attended by Taylor Swift and Emily Blunt.

“You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating,” Hadid told Vogue about dating in the public eye, “and even for my friends who aren’t public figures, that’s hard. Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people? And then there’s another added layer of privacy and security. Hadid and Cooper first publicized their relationship back in October 2023 when they were seen on dates in New York City, where they both live. Early on, sources said the couple bonded over being parents — Hadid shares 4-year-old daughter Khai with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik and Cooper shares 7-year-old Lea De Seine with ex-girlfriend, and Tom Brady’s now-girlfriend, Irina Shayk.

Hadid described her relationship with Cooper as “very romantic and happy,” but stated that there are lots of aspects of it that she prefers to keep to herself. After splitting from Malik in 2021 after six years of dating, Hadid said her relationship with Cooper was one she was ready to embrace now that she’s older.

“I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential,” she said, “and then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve…and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be. I just feel really lucky. Yeah, lucky’s the word.”

“I respect him so much as a creative,” she continued, “and I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief. For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself. Like, what’s the worst thing if I auditioned for this? You jump and take the leap.”
