NPP’s National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha, has admitted that the party suffered a devastating loss in the recent elections, acknowledging the disappointment among party supporters.
“We went into the election believing we would win, but it didn’t happen. It is painful, and I deeply apologize to our supporters, especially the youth who had high hopes for us,” he told Umaru Sanda, monitored by MyNewsGh.
Mustapha emphasized that the party is still analyzing the reasons behind their defeat, citing economic difficulties, internal party issues, and voter apathy as key factors.
“We are not sitting back and waiting for answers. We are reawakening ourselves, engaging our base, and rebuilding for the future. This is a familiar road, and we will find our way back to victory,” he assured.
Despite their challenges, he remains optimistic, urging party members to focus on strengthening the party rather than rushing for leadership positions.
