A female customer was shocked when she was in a stall in the toilet and saw a phone slide under the door.
A man, believed to have been holding the phone, is also alleged to have peered through a crack in the door before the terrified woman fled the bathroom.
Nottinghamshire Police have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
PC Chloe Row, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim was understandably very distressed about what happened, so we’re determined to find the person responsible.
“On that note, we’ve identified the man in this picture as someone we strongly believe could have information that could assist our investigation.
“We’d therefore urge him to get in touch with the police if he sees this appeal, while we’d ask anyone that recognises him to do likewise.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 512 of June 19, 2025. You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
