GARDAI have made an urgent appeal to the public for help in locating a missig teenager.
16-year-old Rua Grumley has been missing from Glasson in Co Westmeath since yesterday.
The missing persons report was made to Gardai on Thursday March 13.
Rua is described as being five foot seven, with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes.
It’s not known what she was wearing when she was last seen.
Gardai are concerned for her wellbeing and have asked anyone who has information to come forward.
They urged anyone who could help them to contact Mullingar Garda station.
A spokesperson for the Gardai said: “Gardai are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 16-year-old Rua Grumley, who was reported missing from Glasson, Co. Westmeath, on Thursday night, 13th March 2025.
“Rua is described as being 5 foot 7 inches in height, with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes.
“It is not known what Rua was wearing when last seen.
“Gardai are concerned for her well-being.
“Anyone with any information on Rua’s whereabouts is asked to contact Mullingar Garda Station on 044 938 4000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
Gardai have also issued an appeal for information on missing teenager Melissa McDonnell.
The 17-year-old was last seen in Cavan yesterday night.
Melissa 5 feet 6 inches and has a slim build.
She also has long, black hair and blue eyes.
It is unknown what Melissa was wearing when last seen.
Gardai believe the teen may have travelled to Dublin and have asked anyone with information to contact them.

In a statement they said: “Gardai are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 17-year-old Melissa McDonnell who was reported missing in Cavan town, Co. Cavan on Thursday night, 13th March 2025.
“Melissa is described as being approximately 5 feet 6 inches in height, with a slim build. She has long, black hair and blue eyes.
“It is believed that Melissa may have travelled to the Dublin area. It is unknown what Melissa was wearing when last seen.
“Anyone with any information on Melissa’s whereabouts is asked to contact Cavan Garda Station on 049 436 8800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
