TWO women have been stabbed near a city centre sparking a major hunt for the knife-attacker.
Emergency services raced to Cambridge Avenue, off Clarendon Road in Whalley Range, at around 4.20am on yesterday morning.
After there were reports of a “disturbance,” two women, aged 51 and 25, were found by officers with stab wounds.
The women were rushed to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “At approximately 4.20am on Wednesday, March 12 2025, we were called to reports of a disturbance at an address on Cambridge Avenue, in Whalley Range, south Manchester.
“Emergency services arrived at the scene and found two women aged 51 and 25 were found with stab wounds.
“They were taken to hospital for treatment with injuries believed to be serious but not life threatening.
“No arrests have been made at present. Enquiries are ongoing.
