PRESIDENT Donald Trump has revealed his plans to build the most lethal fighter jet ever built by awarding Boeing billions of dollars.
Trump met with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in the Oval Office Friday to announce the project, which has a nod to himself in the name.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said he was allocating money to complete a sixth-generation fighter jet titled F-47.
After sharing the title, the president described it as a “beautiful name.”
According to Hegseth, the project could establish, “the next generation of air dominance.”
He listed all of the fighter jets flown by the US military before saying, “Now we have the F-47, which sends a very direct clear message to our allies that we aren’t going anywhere.”
