Tommy Tiernan will fly the flag for Ireland on the annual Stand Up To Cancer Great Celebrity Bake Off special.
The Donegal man will compete against 20 familiar famous faces in hopes of a nod of approval from Paul Hollywood himself.
Each episode of the charity series will see four contestants attempt to execute three challenges – signature, technical, and showstopper rounds.
The best baker of the episode will then be awarded the title of Star Baker – but does Tommy have what it take?
In a statement posted to the Derry Girls star’s official Instagram page, a caption wrote: “Ready to cause cake-y chaos, The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off 2025 line-up has just been announced and you might spot a very familiar face!”
And fans all ran to the comment section to react to Tiernan’s exciting new venture.
Claire wrote: “Ah this is class!!!”
Collette said: “Yay can’t wait.”
Stephanie added: “This should be good.”
While Damien remarked: “This could be hilarious.”
Other celebrities competing include Good Morning Britain Kate Garraway, broadcaster Gloria Hunniford and property show expert Sarah Beeny.
Actress Maxine Peake, singer Self Esteem, actress and writer Meera Syal, and model and activist Ellie Goldstein, YouTube star turned socialite, Amelia Goldenberg, radio host, Roman Kemp and comedian Adam Buxton will also bake in the tent this year.
This year’s series will see two couples step into the tent – Chris and Rosie Ramsey, and Scarlette and Stuart Douglas.
Hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will return to provide encouragement for the celebrity bakers as they go head-to-head in the Bake Off tent.
Since its launch in 2012, the joint fundraising effort Stand Up To Cancer has raised over £113 million (€135 million) for cancer research.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer is expected to air on Channel 4 this spring.
