A NEW Center Parcs resort has opened in Europe and it is much cheaper than ones in the UK.
Nordborg Resort opened last month, and is the first Center Parcs resort in Denmark.

The resort has its own huge waterpark[/caption]
It has some amazing water activities too[/caption]
Market Dome is the centre of the resort and where most of the restaurants are found as well as an indoor playground.
The main places to eat is the Market Cafe and Market Restaurant although there is also burger restaurant Rocket’s and the Italian Fratelli Beach Cafe.
Snack bars include Pancake House and Rocket’s, although there is also a supermarket and bakery, as well as options for delivery.
There is the waterpark Aqua Mundo with waterslides, huge pool and outdoor infinity pool as well.
Sadly it doesn’t have a spa unlike the UK resorts, although some of the rooms have private saunas.
But a unique attraction found in the northern part of the resort is the huge pier, with views over the Lillebælt straight.
And there are 58 activities to choose from including:
- e-bikes
- beach volleyball
- laser battle
- mini golf
- archery
- workshops
- discos
- quiz nights
When it comes to accommodation, there are three types – comfort, premium and VIP – sleeping between four and eight people.
And not only is it right by the water, but there is the Universe Science Park next door, while the nearest town is Sønderborg, just 20 minutes away
The resort starts from €286 (£231) for three nights, albeit this is for September dates.
However, a similar time at a UK holiday park such as Sherwood forest costs £679.
It is also a great place to avoid the crowds in the peak summer holiday season.
In Denmark, kids are only off school in July (this year from June 3 to August 8) compared to the UK’s six weeks across July and August.

Many of the rooms are much cheaper than the UK[/caption]
There are nearly 60 activities to choose from at the resort[/caption]
This means you can expect fewer crowds in August.
If you go at the end of August, a four night stay at Norborg Resort will set you back €1,240 (£1,068).
The cheapest UK resort is Whinfell Forest, where the same dates are £1,299.
Looking to next year? A stay at the Danish resort is around €1,343 (£1,158) in August 2026, compared to Longleat’s £1,599.
The best way to get to the new Denmark resort is to fly to Billund from the UK.
The cheapest flights are with British Airways, cost £48 when flying from London Heathrow.
Flights take around 1hr40, with the Center Parcs resort another 1hr45 by car.
Ryanair used to offer budget flights from the UK to Billund although these were scrapped earlier this year, although Norwegian launched flights earlier last month.
And Billund is also known for being the home of Legoland.
Otherwise here is what to expect from one of the world’s oldest Center Parcs resorts.
And we’ve explained everything to know abut the new Center Parcs resort opening in the UK.

Flight to the nearest airport cost less than £50[/caption]
