The Most Unhinged Death in Soulsborne History: One Boss Literally Rips Your A**hole Out, Puts It in His (And Moans)

It’s a tough world out there, and most of us find an escape in our beloved video games, except the ones made by Hidetaka Miyazaki. That is a whole other world of unhinged content found in the Soulsborne games that makes you question your life choices throughout the playthrough.

Take Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice for an example. To begin with, the game, released in 2019 as an experimental title by FromSoftware, is way too hard to be played without raging at least once. The cherry on top of this misery is how the game features possibly the weirdest and the most mind-melting bosses the gaming world has ever seen.

Haven’t felt your gag reflexes being activated in a long time? Worry not, Hidetaka Miyazaki has hidden the perfect boss in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice to make sure you experience the weirdest you have ever been while playing a video game.

Making the rounds on the internet is this clip of the Headless Boss players run into while playing Sekiro. As offputting his character design is, what many will find disgusting is this one attack move-set, where the enemy will quite literally put his hand up in an area you really wouldn’t want it to be, pull it out, and insert it into his own, and yes, you read all of that right.

As explained by some of the comments on the above post, there is, after all, a reason according to the lore that explains why the boss would pull that disgusting move on the player. Apparently, in Japanese mythology, the life force, or the soul, of a person is stored in an orb hidden in the forbidden place, which the boss confidently pulls out and plants into himself as players watch in horror.

Welcome to everybody’s favorite trivia that gamers like to take part in while playing any of the masterpieces crafted by Mr. Miyazaki himself. Anybody who has dived deep into any Soulsborne game would know how important it is to keep asking oneself, “What did Hidetaka Miyazaki mean by this?” every once in a while.

Do this, and you will always find a reason behind the most absurd logic found in Soulsborne games. There is a demon in Sekiro that plucks your life force right out of your a**hole? The renowned director will have a perfect answer why. It is a never-ending game, which is exactly what many come looking for before they stumble upon the world of Soulsborne.

Keeping the weird part aside, Souls games have often delivered more than players have ever asked for. While it is true the intense difficulty of these games might be a bit more than what a few of the gamers could handle, it is exactly what makes the Soulsborne genre stand out as a whole, helping FromSoftware create its own identity.
