The major changes Emmerdale has made for Bradley Riches revealed as CBB star joins ITV soap

The actor – who is best known for playing James McEwan in the Netflix hit – will arrive in the village this summer as a mysterious relation to an existing villager.

Ahead of Bradley’s on screen debut, The Sun can reveal Emmerdale have made special changes to make sure the 23-year-old is as comfortable as possible.

Bradley has been open about living with autism, which he was diagnosed with when he was nine years old.

A show insider said: “ITV bosses are really delighted they’ve been able to sign Bradley up.

“His character has serious potential and they’re doing everything to make his transition into soap as smooth as possible.

“One adjust they have made is changing the format of Bradley’s call sheets and scripts so they’re easier to read.

“There’s also chill out rooms on set for Bradley to utilise in between filming takes.”

Meanwhile, Bradley was forced to hit back at vile trolls after announcing his new ITV role.

He told fans how he’d been sent vile homophobic and ableist messages by trolls.

Taking to Instagram stories to address it, Bradley said: “ Beyond excited to be joining Emmerdale! A dream come true.

“But let’s talk real for a second. Some of the comments and messages I’ve received are vile.

“Too many people are quick to judge me regarding my sexuality or being autistic, without thinking about the impact of their words.

“Before you speak, ask yourself: Do I really need to say this? Kindness costs nothing, but mean comments and hiding behind your screens says aLOT about you.

“But lucky for you I won’t be behind a screen… I will be on YOUR SCREEN! If you’re mad stay mad! See you soon x”
