Thabiso Monyane has arrived at Kaizer Chiefs and will wear the number 2 jersey. He’s signed a three-year contract after Pirates opted not to keep the player when his deal expired. He moves on a free transfer and, according to transfermarkt, the right-back is valued at €850k (R17.6 million).

Oswin Appollis suffered a little from ‘second-season’ syndrome after a breakout campaign in 2023-2024 when he claimed six goals and three assists. In 2024-2025, the livewire winger only managed two goals and an assist from 25 league outings. Hardly earth-shattering numbers for a player expected to win games for his new manager, Abdeslam Ouaddou. Polokwane improved on 2024’s eighth-placed finish with a seventh-placed finish this time around, so it’s not as if his teammates regressed.
