A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of raping a teenage woman in a public toilet on a popular British beach.
The 31-year-old is being held in police custody after cops received reports at around 2am yesterday of a woman in her late teens being raped in a toilet on Bournemouth Beach in Dorset.
Police have now launched a detailed investigation into the report, with specialist officers currently supporting the victim.
A cordon was put in place on Sunday to allow for an examination of the area to be carried out.
Dorset Police added: “Officers are carrying out increased patrols in the area and we would encourage anyone with concerns to please speak with an officer.”
