Sutton Foster is silencing the haters on Instagram as she and Hugh Jackman continue to navigate backlash over their relationship.
The Broadway star shared her first non-work-related Instagram post in months and turned off comments after getting flooded with negative comments in her other recent posts. “Oh hey 50,” Foster captioned her stunning no-makeup selfie which showed her standing in front of a beach sunset. The March 18 post celebrated her birthday.

Although Foster and Jackman have been laying low since November reports first accused them of having an affair back in 2022, the actress has been unable to escape hate comments on her social media accounts so we’re guessing this most recent move is an effort to shut out negativity.
Foster and Jackman’s relationship allegedly began while starring in The Music Man on Broadway together. At the time, both stars were married. Since January of this year, the couple have been seen out and about in Los Angeles but they have not spoken publicly about their relationship.
In September 2023, Jackman and ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness announced their divorce. A year later, Foster filed for divorce from her ex-husband Ted Griffin. Then, in November, a bombshell report in Us Weekly claimed that Jackman and Foster had been in a relationship since having an affair in 2022.
“Sutton and Hugh’s relationship is the reason Hugh and Deb got divorced,” an insider confirmed. “A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap. They are really happy now.”
Jackman shares two children, daughter Ava, 19, and son Oscar, 24, with Furness, to whom he was married for 27 years. Foster was married to Griffin for 10 years and the couple share daughter Emily, 7.
