‘Super sensitive’ Prince Harry is ‘loathing’ Meghan Markle Netflix backlash and is getting ‘very upset’

MEGHAN Markle has started 2025 with a bang launching a Netflix show, an Instagram page, her As Ever brand and has a new podcast on the horizon.

After hitting screens on March 4, her With Love, Meghan cooking series has been met with a mixed reaction – and Prince Harry is “loathing” the backlash, claims an expert.

The eight-part series only has a 2.9/10 rating on IMDb with some hailing it as “outdated” and unrelatable.

Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward claimed that “sensitive” Harry will be hating any criticism of his wife’s venture.

She told Fabulous: “Harry always got very, very upset when his wife was criticised, going right back to before their engagement.

“He complained and said ‘would they please leave Meghan alone?

“But Harry is super sensitive, so I should think he’s loathing this backlash against Meghan and just thinking that it’s just the ‘unkind Brits’.

“I think that he gets very upset by all these things.”

Despite any criticism, it has been revealed Netflix is making a second series of With Love Meghan.

The duchess posted on Instagram saying she’s “thrilled” with the decision.

Wearing a Netflix cap she was seen grinning in a short clip on her stories, with the caption: “Lettuce romaine calm… or not(!) because I’m thrilled to share that Season 2 of ‘With Love, Meghan’ is coming!”

This follows Meghan announcing she is launching a new podcast on April 8 called ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’.

The venture, with Lemonada Media, is described by the US podcast company as inviting listeners “to be a fly on the wall as Meghan sits down for candid conversations with female founders and friends” to talk about all things business-related.

The first series of the show launched earlier this month after being delayed from January because of the Los Angeles wildfires.

Just hours later, Meghan officially launched her As Ever brand, with her updated website revealing her first products were her raspberry jam, and the flower sprinkles she repeatedly promotes throughout the show.

But the brand has been dogged by controversy after the mayor of a small Majorcan town accused her of “plagiarism” over similarities between her logo and their 14th century coat of arms.

And the eight-part series, which sees the former Suits actress give hosting tips and cooking with her celebrity friends, has been savaged by critics.

One review in The Guardian described it as a “gormless lifestyle filler” and “so pointless it might be the Sussexes’ last TV show”.

While The Telegraph gave it two stars and branded it “insane” and an “exercise in narcissism”.

The former head of ITV Daytime Dianne Nelmes, who launched This Morning, also said the show has a “major flaw”.

She told MailOnline: “With Love has a major flaw. The concept is outdated.

“Today young women look to TikTok, YouTube and social media for their lifestyle gurus and celebrity tips.

“Meghan is so far removed from the reality of the women viewers who her show is targeting that I wonder what creative thinking went into the early development.”

Meghan’s goals

Meghan, 43, has recently admitted she makes “mistakes” but insisted that she is “learning every day”.

In an interview with bookshop Godmothers, which was named by Meghan’s pal Oprah Winfrey, she was asked when she last “felt like a beginner at something”.

She said: “Right now! I’m launching my business, As Ever, which has been my heartsong for years. Every day I’m learning so much as a founder.

“I’m taking baby steps and big strides at the same time, making mistakes and learning from them, and really working to find all the joy while diving into the creative process and the business.

“Being in the granular parts of the business gives me the same feeling I have when I’m gardening: bare hands in the soil, planting a seed with so much care, and nurturing it as it grows.

“There’s something energising about being in my 40s and turning my passion project into a business—and sharing that with the world.”

What do we know about Meghan Markle’s new cooking show, With Love, Meghan?

MEGHAN Markle’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, shows her cooking with Hollywood pals.

There are eight 33 minute episodes featuring a host of Meg’s various Hollywood friends trying her simple, yet “elevated”, food.

As part of the show, she was filmed browsing florists, hand-selecting beautiful flowers for table arrangements, and showing off her creative side.

The Duchess even tried her hand at beekeeping, fully suited up, as she collected honey.

In the trailer, Meghan shared: “I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it.

“Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them.

“I’m going to share some little tips and tricks. I see what colour I gravitate to, and everything goes from there. And how you incorporate these practices every day.

“This is about connecting with friends… I love that we’re doing this together for the first time. Making new friends… and just learning.

“We’re not in the pursuit of perfection. We’re in the pursuit of joy. I have to get it totally wrong, to get it totally right.”

The trailer showcased many “candid” moments, from Meghan accidentally squeezing some lemon juice in her eye, to knocking freshly baked goodies off a plate.

Prince Harry featured at the end of the video, embracing his wife in a warm hug.
