That said, this expected-to-be-released-soon season has already earned itself quite a few updates, including the reported fact that some new faces will be debuting in this final season alongside the already familiar old faces as well. And per the reports, the small, fictional, midwestern town in Indiana really seems to have some new star-studded star power waiting to join the crew.

It has been almost three years since fans last got to witness the unbelievable world of Stranger Things, and now finally seems to be the time to admit that the series finale season is inching closer than we know. This is because the fifth and final season of the horror saga has wrapped filming, and the fan-favorite nerds are all set to return… among other crew members.

According to Tudum by Netflix, some of the new names joining the beloved cast include the likes of Nell Fisher, the young actress famous for Evil Dead Rise (2023); the young Jake Connelly from the short film Between the Silence (2022); and Alex Breaux, the actor famous for his acting credits among critically acclaimed pieces like Depraved (2019) and Joe Pickett (2021).

That’s not all. Further adding star power to the fan-beloved cast is none other than The Terminator actress Linda Hamilton, who announced that she would be joining the final season at 2023’s Tudum: A Global Fan Event. However, details about the new characters that all of these aforementioned actors will be embodying for the final season of the horror saga are yet to be known.

But while the role that Hamilton would portray in the fictional, small, midwestern town of Hawkins in Indiana is yet to be officially disclosed, it is known that the actress is no stranger to the supernatural and paranormal-themed saga. “I don’t know how to be a fangirl and an actress at the same time,” she said during her announcement at Tudum. “I’m gonna work on that.

Besides all of these new faces set to debut in the horror saga, a majority of the actors from the original core cast are also returning to leave fans marveling at their characters and their super-abilities one last time. This, of course, includes Millie Bobby Brown (now Bonnie Brown Bongiovi) returning as Eleven alongside Finn Wolfhard‘s Mike Wheeler and Noah Schnapp‘s Will Byers.

While the latter of these three still has his connection to the Upside Down as a central plotline to the story, Sadie Sink is also set to reappear to the lore as Max Mayfield, though her future holds an uncertain tinge to it after the events of season 4 finale. Besides these four fan-favorites, David Harbour and Winona Ryder are back as Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers respectively as well.

Adding to all of them, from the core cast, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo are also reportedly set to reprise their respective roles of Nancy Wheeler, Jonathan Byers, Lucas Sinclair, and Dustin Henderson to join hands for one last battle against the forces of the Upside Down. Peak action and drama are incoming with season 5? Seems like it.

Strangers Things Season 5 is yet to get an official release date. Meanwhile, Seasons 1-4 can currently be streamed on Netflix.
