BBC viewers said the vomit scene left them ‘put off their supper’[/caption]
Within minutes of the latest episode Vanishing Point airing, viewers were left stunned as one passenger spewed yellow bile and vomit as he fell ill.
The scenes left some viewers queasy as they didn’t expect to see such graphic detail, with the episode continuing with vomit and bloody scenes later on.
Taking to social media, one viewer complained: “Oh God the vomiting Immediately. Stop it.”
Another shared: “That was gross, just put me right off my supper ffs.”
“Oh my stomach. I can’t watch people vomiting,” said a third.
As the episode progressed, Nikki and her forensic team delved into the cause of the illness on the plane which was uncovered as a deliberate attack.
The complaints also come as the start of this latest series was hit with complaints as Jack Hodgson and Dr Nikki Alexander’s office romance making an appearance at work.
Nikki, played by Emilia Fox, and Jack, played by David Caves, have been dating for three series of the crime drama, but their latest scenes have appeared to irk viewers with them getting touchy feely in the office.
Writing on Twitter, one viewer wrote: “First ep back and they are acting like teenagers. Literally magnetised to each other.”
Another added: “Correction: we’re not starting with a MAKE OUT SCENE IN THE OFFICE.”
“Here goes guys .. week 1 of 10 of the rollercoaster that is #SilentWitness. Already the kissing is getting on my nerves,” shared a third.
Another posted: “I’m not dreaming this right? We’re starting this season with office flirting??!!?!??! And a near af make out scene okay.”
New episodes of Silent Witness are on BBC One on Monday and Tuesday nights at 9pm.
Previous episodes are available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
