Professor Ransford Gyampo has assured the business community that the Mahama-led government is taking decisive steps to lower the cost of doing business in Ghana.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority mentioned this on TV3’s KeyPoints, highlighting ongoing interagency collaborations aimed at identifying and eliminating unnecessary cost drivers, particularly in the shipping sector.
“There have been several interagency collaborations to identify some of the needless factors that accentuate the cost of doing business in Ghana,” he stated.
According to Professor Gyampo, the government is fully committed to ensuring that businesses, especially shipping lines, experience a more cost-effective and efficient operating environment.
He emphasized that the administration is determined to implement policies to ease the burden on businesses and enhance Ghana’s attractiveness as a trade hub.
“…We are fired up to do more to bring down the cost of doing business… very soon shippers will see the tangible outcomes of the interagency collaboration,” he assured.
His remarks signal the government’s renewed focus on addressing economic challenges and improving the business climate.
