DWTS finalist Kayleigh Trappe has paid an emotional tribute to her younger self and shared an unrecognisable snap.
The Monaghan native was among the final four contestants competing to lift the coveted Glitterball trophy last Sunday.
However, Kayleigh missed out on the big win when Irish Olympian Rhys McClenaghan and his professional partner Laura Nolan received the winning vote.
The TikTok star has been vocal about her incredible experience on the show and how it helped her to overcome body issues.
She told the Irish Sun: “When I was younger I had a diary. I was reading it recently where I had written how I wanted to be a performer but that was never going to happen as I’m too fat and ugly.
“But I’m going to leave this show with more confidence and support myself more. I have the routines to thank for that.”
Yesterday, Kayleigh took to Instagram to share a message to her younger self following her journey on the show.
The 29-year-old wrote: “If ye had have told 17 year old Kayleigh that she’d be in a dancing final with two Olympians and Buster Brady… this is probably the face she’d pull.
“What a full circle experience.”
The TV star then attached a photo of herself at the age of 17 and it’s safe to say she looked completely unrecognisable.
Kayleigh looked much younger with long reddish hair and a bare face.
She wore a casual pink hoodie and trousers and had her hands tucked into the pockets.
The RTE star then added a series of photos of herself performing on DWTS to highlight how far she has come.
Kayleigh was all dolled up in the pictures, donning a glamorous golden costume and a full face of make-up.
The funny lady looked fantastic as the camera candidly captured her dancing on the show.
Of course, fans all ran to the comment section to gush over Kayleigh’s amazing journey from her teenage years to now.
