Shameless dine & dash duo sneakily flee from Scots restaurant to dodge their £91 bill

A RESTAURANT has slammed two brazen dine and dashers for walking out on their “expensive” meal without paying.

The men racked up an expensive bill at the Grand Fusion Restaurant in Paisley on Monday night.

The shameless punters scoffed the pricey meal and enacted their ploy to get out without paying the £91 bill.

When it came time to hand over the cash, they told staff they didn’t have any while one of them said he was going to a bank machine.

Shortly after, his pal claimed he had “forgotten his PIN” and tried to leave, but was followed by staff.

Workers at the Chinese restaurant soon realised the first man had ran away.

The second diner then also ran away without paying for the meal.

Bosses at Grand Fusion quickly shared a picture of the bill-dodging pair and urged other local businesses to be aware they may try to do the same elsewhere.

CCTV footage posted on social media showed the men walking into the restaurant, one wearing a green hoodie and the other in a grey tracksuit.

Warning other businesses in the town, staff wrote on the Grand Fusion Facebook page: “We want to alert all local businesses, especially restaurants, about two individuals who left without paying their bill. This incident occurred tonight at approximately 7pm.

“These two men dined at our restaurant, ordering expensive food and drinks.

“When it was time to pay, they claimed they had no cash. One of them then said he would go to an ATM to withdraw cash while the other stayed behind.

“However, shortly after, the remaining individual pretended that his friend forgot his PIN and attempted to leave as well.

“When our staff followed him outside, we discovered that the first individual had run away and never returned. The second person also fled the scene.

“This was a clear attempt to avoid paying for their meal, and we suspect they may do the same at other restaurants or businesses in the area.

“We are sharing a picture of their faces captured from the footage to warn others and prevent similar incidents. Please stay alert.”

Staff have reported the brazen pair to cops who are probing the dine and dashers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.55pm on Tuesday, 18 March, 2025, officers received a report of an unpaid bill the previous day at a premises on Moss Street, Paisley.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
