SEB QUIRK revealed it took one Zoom call for him to fly to Ireland and sign for Sligo Rovers.
Midfielder Quirk, 23, will officially join the Bit O’Red on July 1 from Accrington Stanley having signed a pre-contract agreement.

A former Everton trainee, he has been at Stanley for the past two years and made 40 appearances for the League Two club.
He said: “I jumped on a Zoom call with John Russell a few weeks ago, spoke to him and I liked what he had to say so it seemed like a good place for me to come.
“It’s been really good, I’m really enjoying it. I’m in a house with two of the lads, they’re really sound.
“I’ve always known about Sligo Rovers and always kept an eye on them a little bit.
“I’m a big Everton fan, one of my favourite players growing up was Séamus Coleman so I’ve always kept an eye on Sligo Rovers.
“The last couple of years my captain at Accrington was Séamus Conneely and he’d speak about the club so I did keep an eye.”
