GETTING on the property ladder is never easy – and in the current climate, it’s becoming increasingly difficult.

Butbargain hunters are in for a real treat as some of Scotland‘s cheapest properties are up for grabs for as little as £1000 – but there’s a catch.

Some of these homes do, however, fall firmly into the ‘fixer-upper’ category.

They’ll almost certainly put a roof over your head – but you might need to bring your own bucket for when it rains.
