RTE First Dates Ireland fans all say same thing about age gap of couple as 41-year-old woman makes ‘cringe’ confession

RTE First Dates Ireland viewers were left saying the same thing about the age gap of a couple.

Desperately seeking a girl with ‘Coca-Cola bottle curves’ cyber security expert Rafael, 29, from Rio de Janeiro got even better than the real thing with makeup artist Jo, 41, from Tallaght.

Jo didn’t want a second date with Rafael[/caption]

Jo revealed she prefers a younger, more energetic guy as opposed to the older “divorced” guys who normally chat her up.

She said: “Younger guys are more energetic and better looking.”

Jo opened up on her cosmetic surgeries including liposuction, a tummy tuck and a BBL and said that while she doesn’t “recommend” getting it all done at once, it was still “worth it”.

She said: “When I was in a relationship I just sat there eating and getting fat with a cat.

“So then I might of gone over to Turkey and kind of cheated.”

While on the date, Jo told Rafael that she has a daughter just five years younger than him.

He replied: “It happens.”

Jo laughed about her daughter “finding it cringe” that she dates younger men.

She said: “There’s been once of twice that I’ve matched with somebody that she knows on Tinder.”

And while Jo is into the young ones, she didn’t want to see Rafael again.

RTE viewers commented on the pair’s 12 year age gap.

One viewer wrote: “Imagine dating someone whose daughter is only four years younger than you.”

Another tweeted: “Good thing he spat out his chewing gum before she mentioned her daughter four years younger than him… he would have choked on it.”

Also in tonight’s episode, the pressure was on Mateo and Niall as their friend and colleague Kevin, 39, arrived for a blind date, threatening to ‘put out easy’.

Impressively mustachio’d former wedding planner Gabo, 38, from Mexico who reminded Kevin that they’ve met before entered the restaurant.

NO SPARK

Gabo revealed that he never dated an Irish man before, despite living here.

Gabo spoke about how he got completely “catfished” by his date before.

And while the pair hit it off as pals, there was no romantic spark for Gabo.

Elsewhere, 6’5” junior doctor and self-confessed ‘mummy’s boy’ Conor, 26, from Wiltshire practised his posh bedside manner on part-time model Hannah, 29, from Cork.

MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN

And while people have told Conor they think he’s a wizard with the opposite sex, he revealed the truth is: he’s terrified!

Conor spoke about his many Irish cousins and coincidentally works in Swansea in Wales – and Hannah’s mum is Welsh.

Unfortunately, Conor got “too flustered” and forgot Hannah’s name and had to ask again at the meal – although he was very apologetic.

Conor spoke about the “rough time” he had in his fifth year of uni as he battled with his mental health.

SWEET PAIR

He praised his parents for being there for him.

The pair spoke about their families and Conor revealed that his English grandad is a “sir”, to which Hannah replied: “Oh, I can kind of tell from the accent.”

Having given herself three years to find and marry a man, student Aoife, 22, from Blackrock chased a winner in extra time with former QPR goalie Harry, 22, from Shankill.

Harry spoke about how he moved away to England when he was 16 to pursue his football career.

However, after a back injury he had to move home and has recently signed for Longford.

Harry opened up about feeling “low” when he came home and went to see a therapist which helped him.

And the young couple both wanted to see each other for a second date.
