Why is Brad Pitt in the credits of Adolescence?
Brad Pitt’s name appearing in the credits of Netflix‘s Adolescence has come as a surprise to many of the show’s fans, with some taking to social media to express their shock.
One wrote: “Executive Producer Brad Pitt. The actual Brad Pitt? Brilliant script, fantastic acting, such a tense drama. Well done to all involved.”
A second posted: “Why is #Adolescence so good? Firstly the topic. How scary it is for young men to be brainwashed & manipulated by things they see on the internet.
“It’s mental that the 4 episodes had multiple producers including Stephen Graham & Brad Pitt! It was all cleverly shot in one take too!”
While a third stated: “The acting in Adolescence is great but I acc jumped out of my skin when I saw it was produced by Brad Pitt.”
Brad‘s involvement was due to his role as an executive producer through his production company Plan B Entertainment.
Co-founded by Brad, Kristin Hahn, Brad Grey and Jennifer Aniston in 2001, Plan B Entertainment was responsible for producing the four-part limited series alongside Warp Films and Matriarch Productions.
Plan B Entertainment has been involved in numerous critically acclaimed projects over the years.

Director Philip Barantini shared that the actor was actively involved in discussions about the show.
He said: “Brad was on the phone with us, and he was so enthusiastic”.

Adolescence, which premiered on March 13, 2025, quickly gained attention for its gripping plot and innovative filming technique.
Each episode was shot in one take, meaning there are no edits or breaks in the action.
The show’s writer Jack Thorne shared an amusing anecdote about working with Brad.
When asked whether he’d received any notes from the megastar, he told Deadline: “I didn’t get a note from Brad Pitt.
“I’m always early on a Zoom call and he’s always early on a Zoom call too.
“So we had 40 seconds where I just stared at this beautiful man and he just said: ‘Hi, I’m Brad.’
“And I was just like, ‘Yeah, I know.’ And then other people joined.”
