BARRY FERGUSON has revealed Rangers defender Jefte is missing today’s match against Celtic due to a personal issue.
Jefte was the one change from the team that started the Europa League game against Fenerbahce in midweek.
But Ferguson wouldn’t be drawn on exactly why Brazilian defender – who has also been deployed further up the pitch under Ferguson – was left out of his squad for the trip to Celtic Park.
The Gers boss said: “It’s a personal issue that will remain private and confidential.”
He then added: “He won’t be with us today but hopefully in the coming weeks he will be back and training with the squad.”
