Pupils evacuated after school ‘bomb threat’ with parents sent worrying message and cops raced to scene

STUDENTS have been evacuated from a school following a “bomb threat” this morning.

Cops raced to Arena Academy in Birmingham, West Midlands, after receiving reports of the threat at the school.

While West Midlands Police says it does not believe there to be “any credible threat” to the school and its pupils, cops remain at the scene.

Parents had received a worrying message by the school this morning, warning them of the “bomb threat”, reports BirminghamLive.

The terrifying alert read: “We have received a message from Priestley Smith School this morning informing us there has been a bomb threat.

“We are not sure if this is a credible threat but we’re following our protocols and currently evacuating to Turnbury Park.

“Police are also supporting us. We will keep you fully informed.”

Students will not return to the school today as police continue to scour the site, the institution confirmed.
