With practically every significant character in One Piece having made an appearance, fans of the series are still waiting for one character to make a move, and that character is none other than Monkey D. Dragon. The commander of the Revolutionary Army and father of Monkey D. Luffy, Dragon holds a lot of importance within the One Piece storyline.

However, despite being a significant figure, Dragon has always remained in the background and has rarely made a proper appearance. Thus fans await his appearance in the central narrative as it will reveal some big details about the character. And while his next step has been kept a secret by Eiichiro Oda, the development in the One Piece story hints that he might soon appear.
Considering the development of the Celestial Dragon’s storyline and the revelation of the God’s Knights in One Piece, there is a big possibility that Dragon will also make a move against them and try to shift the tide in his favor. And in order to do that, he might have to arrive in Elbaph and not only stop the God’s Knights’ mission but also defeat them for good.
Monkey D. Dragon’s parallel with the Celestial Dragons and the God’s Knights
Since the One Piece series started, Eiichiro Oda has revealed very few details about Monkey D. Dragon and his ultimate goal that motivated him to create the Revolutionary Army and declare war against the World Government. The only thing known about his plan is that he wants to eradicate the tyranny of the Celestial Dragon, and thus, he has an indirect connection with them and their development within One Piece.
For example, the massive bridges that the World Government was building all over the One Piece world in order to save themselves from the sinking. This bridge was captured by the Revolutionary Army, and they freed the slaves that the World Government was torturing. The most recent development was seen when the Revolutionary Army attacked Mariejois during the Levely and destroyed the food storage and carriages that were being used by the Celestial Dragons.

This led to a massive food shortage in Mariejois, which was essential for the Revolutionary Army’s plan. All of these direct connections between the Revolutionary Army and the Celestial Dragon suggest that Monkey D. Dragon will only make a move when the World Government makes a move in One Piece.
Monkey D. Dragon will arrive in Elbaph
As the One Piece manga fans know, currently, the Celestial Dragons and the God’s Knights are trying to recruit Loki in order to affiliate Elbaph with the World Government. This is the reason why they sent Shamrock and Gunko, and it is also the reason why the rest of the God’s Knights who entered Elbaph are trying to kidnap the giant kids.

Considering Dragon’s mission to take down the Celestial Dragons, it is safe to assume that Dragon already knows about this plan and will try to stop them one way or the other. On top of all that, Dragon’s most trusted allies in One Piece, Vegapunk and Bartholomew Kuma, are also in Elbaph and are undergoing treatment.
Thus, there is a big possibility that Dragon is already on his way to Elbaph, and the One Piece fans might get to see him finally in action and discover his unprecedented power. Not only that, but they might also get to see the much-awaited meeting of Dragon and his son Luffy, which will surely be one of the most hyped moments in the history of One Piece.
