No Ghanaian will be left behind – Mahama pledges to Upper East residents

President John Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring balanced development across Ghana, emphasizing that the Upper East Region will receive its fair share of national resources.

Speaking during his ‘Thank You Tour,’ Mahama assured residents that development in the region is not a privilege but a right, reinforcing his administration’s dedication to inclusivity.

“The progress of our nation depends on the shared effort of all its people towards a common purpose and a collective vision for prosperity,” Mahama stated.

“The Upper East Region, like every other part of Ghana, deserves its fair share of development—not as a favour, but as my government’s actionable commitment to ensuring no Ghanaian is left behind.”

His comments come amid concerns over long-standing infrastructural gaps in northern Ghana, where residents have often decried disparities in development projects compared to other regions.

While addressing the recent unrest in Bawku, Mahama used the platform to stress that economic progress and stability in the north are key priorities, promising equitable distribution of resources.
