My Tinder date turned into a £50 million jewellery business – celebs like Stacey Solomon & Maya Jama love our products

WHEN Asha Skelton, 34, agreed to go on a Tinder date with an entrepreneur in 2018, she could never have anticipated the path it would carve for her.

Not only did she marry Jezz, 33, in 2022 and welcome a daughter with him in 2023, she ended up going into business with him – and that brand now turns over £50 million a year.

You might have heard of the label. They’ve secured partnership deals with every big Love Islander and more recently with Stacey Solomon for a Mother’s Day 2025 collection.

In the financial year to March 2024, Abbott Lyon reported turnover of £44.6 million – and this is forecasted at £50 million for the current financial year.

Profit attributable to the owners of the company was a whopping £3.7 million in 2024 too, Companies House documents show.

Abbott Lyon started as a fashion watch label, but as trends evolved, so did brand identity.

The birth of Asha and Jezz’s daughter in 2023 inspired new product lines, such as thumbprint necklaces and birthstone charms.

“[Having a child has] definitely shifted our perspective,” says Asha.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing though, with the married couple having to balance life as parents of a two-year-old daughter with their high-scale business.

And as Abbott Lyon continues to grow, they have learned the importance of dividing responsibilities based on their individual strengths.

“Jezz handles the big-picture vision, product development, and branding, while I focus on social media and influencer partnerships,” says Asha.

“It works well because we each bring different strengths to the table.

“It’s all about setting boundaries – work is important, but so is making time for each other and our daughter.”

Previously working late evenings and weekends, the couple now makes it a priority to stop work on the weekend and focus on spending quality time as a family.

Among their celebrity customers are Love Island All Stars winner Molly Smith, 30, TikTok sensation GK Barry, 25, and even presenting icon Maya Jama, 30.

Asha and Jezz brought Stacey Solomon, 35, on board as an ambassador a few years ago, and now release regular lucrative collections with her.

The Loose Women star has created her own Abbott Lyon collection in time for Mother’s Day, which includes engravable necklaces and pieces with interchangeable birthstones.
