My neighbour told me to go on a sex curfew in a passive aggressive note but said we can ‘scream loud’ at the weekend

A WOMAN has revealed that her neighbour told her to follow a sex curfew in a very passive aggressive note.

But despite this, the shocked woman, who lives in a flat where the walls are paper-thin, was told she could ‘scream as loud’ as she wants on weekends.

Not only was she told not to do the deed after 10pm, but her actions were slammed as “rude and inappropriate” too[/caption]

Stunned by the note, which described her bedroom antics after 10pm as “rude and inappropriate”, the anonymous woman took to social media to share a snap of the double sided letter.

The woman claimed she is aware of being mindful of those living next door and will even turn down her music to avoid upset, but it appears her evening rendezvous captured slightly too much attention from one particularly peeved neighbour, resulting in the disgruntled note.

The frustrated resident shared snaps of the note on Reddit, on the FoundPaper thread, leaving many open-mouthed.

And it appeared that the annoyed neighbour didn’t mince her words in the note, as it kicked off and said: “Hey! It’s your neighbour. I didn’t want to have to write this but it’s really bothering me now.”

The letter then continued: “I don’t have a problem with you two having sex loud but I do have a problem with the timing.

“Late at night is inappropriate on a school night when people are trying to study and sleep.”

Keen to show she isn’t a prude, she clarified: “I apologise if my boyfriend and I have been loud but it is never on school nights because he is long distance

“And again, I really don’t care how loud you are as long as it’s not at 10pm/11pm/12am and so on.”

Getting into the crux of the issue, the aggrieved woman noted: “It is keeping me from sleeping and studying before bed.”

As a result, she requested: “So please keep it down during the week.”

But despite this, the note read: “You can scream as loud as you want on the weekends when people aren’t trying to actually get things done.”

In a bid for peaceful coexistence, the note concluded: “Again, I apologise if I have ever caused a disturbance.

“If you need to talk to me, obviously you know where I live. Thanks, your neighbour.”

Reddit users react

The cheeky letter has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 3,000 reacts in just two days.

But the note left people divided – while it sparked amusement for many, it also led to empathy among others, whilst some homeowners shared their own stories of noisy neighbours.

Omg I laughed so hard at this!
