My dad was executed by ISIS… now sickos ‘rate’ his beheading video on site that inspires killers like Nicholas Prosper

STANDING before the dock for his sentencing, 19-year old Nicholas Prosper put his head in his hands as details of his sickening crimes were read out.

As the court was shown pictures of dummies laid out in the way his victims – mum Juliana Prosper and his younger siblings – were found, the teenage killer enjoyed one final taste of the devastation he had wrought.

Teenage killer Nicholas Prosper frequently browsed a website that hosts videos of people being killed[/caption]

This was a young man whose mind was warped by sadistic violence freely available to view online, with plans to murder at least 30 at a nearby primary school and become the UK’s deadliest mass killer.

And there was one website in particular he was a fan of – which despite branding itself as the go-to place to see gruesome, uncensored videos of horrific killings and torture, is as easy to access in the UK as YouTube.

Now, after Prosper was today jailed for life with a minimum of 49 years, the families of those whose loved ones appear on this website are calling for it to be banned.

This website – which The Sun will not be naming – has over 3,300,000 users and is the go-to place for sickos to enjoy content that would make any normal person cower away in disgust.

It contains thousands of graphic videos and pictures showing everything from school shootings, Mexican cartel murders, and suicides.

One of these videos is of the murder of David Haines – the British aid worker brutally executed in Syria by the Islamic State in 2014.

Speaking to The Sun, his daughter Bethany condemned the website’s anonymous owners and users.

She tells us: “These sites are horrendous. It is scandalous that they are still able to stay up without any policing or any repercussions for the people who made them.

“It is painful to know videos of my dad’s death are being used for people to watch, comment on and even in some cases rate.

“The problem is sites, like horrendous ones like these, dehumanise the worst kinds of violence and we have seen many times before that people who commit terrible atrocities have been on sites like these.

“They must be closed before they inspire more terrible acts.

“I also fear that my son will one day grow up and see his grandad’s death.

Killer chatroom

Bethany says it’s time for the Government to act now to shut down this website, and others like it.

On Monday, regulator Ofcom gained new powers to investigate, fine, and shut down platforms under the Online Safety Act.

But while the new rules mean platforms will have to increase protections against illegal content, many of the videos on this site would not come under this category – and it will be months before rules governing content deemed “Legal but harmful” comes into force.

“The people who create these websites need to be held to account,” Bethany says.

“Firstly, sites like these need to be closed and then these creators need to face criminal charges. Setting up sites that show people being killed is surely the same as spreading hateful propaganda or terrorism advice. You would be prosecuted for that so why not this?

“Our government needs to do more to block sites from the eyes of people here. I’m not sure what impact Ofcom would have on that.

“It is not right. We need stringent change now.”

From our investigation into the website, The Sun understands Nicholas Prosper may have had at least four accounts on this forum.

He was eventually banned for posting sexualised comments on videos, the titles of which are too obscene to publish.

It is a betrayal to the memory of those who are gone, and it adds to the suffering of those still living

Our research also found evidence that the site was frequented by a number of other teenagers who went on to commit mass shootings in the US.

One was 17-year old Dylan Butler, who shot five students and three staff members at Perry High School, Iowa, in January 2024.

Yet the shameless site claims it is just shining a light on real-world atrocities – and dismisses the concerns as “fearmongering nonsense” akin to the 1990s panic over video games.

There are also sections dedicated to graphic, uncensored footage from the Ukraine war and Israel-Palestine conflict.

Incomprehensible cruelty

Below this, a sickening list includes videos deemed by those in this community to be “Famous”.

Under this is one of the disturbing videos posted by Luka Magnotta, whose story was told in the Netflix hit Don’t F*** With Cats.

Also listed is the video of the 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings, in New Zealand, which killed 51.

Speaking on behalf of victims, the Sakinah Community Trust told The Sun the website was a “violation”.

“To know that there are people who take pleasure in sharing such content and reducing a tragedy to something “famous” is a level of cruelty that is difficult to comprehend,” they said.

“These videos do not honour us, the families of the victims, nor do they reflect the dignity and respect that we so desperately wish to preserve for those we lost.

“My message to them is simple: Stop the destruction of your souls. Stop spreading hate and pain.

“It is a betrayal to the memory of those who are gone, and it adds to the suffering of those still living.”

The website claims that under-18s are not permitted on the site, and users must click “agree” that they are an adult before entering.

However, nothing prevents a child from simply lying and gaining access to the horrifying content within.

Experts also fear that watching these videos may desensitise and normalise viewers to violence.

Dr Lewys Brace, a researcher specialising in online extremist radicalisation at the University of Exeter, found this website was closely linked to other extremist sites.

Makings of a killer

SADISTIC teen Nicholas Prosper shot dead his own family in September last year and plotted to murder 30 children in a bid to become the UK’s worse school shooter.

The warped killer forged papers to obtain a shotgun which he used to carrying out the cold-blooded killing of mum Juliana, and siblings Kyle and Giselle.

Prosper was then stopped by police near his home before he was able to carry out the massacre he had planned to carry out at nearby St Joseph’s, his old primary school.

A loaded shotgun was discovered nearby, along with more than 30 cartridges.

A chilling note found belonging to the teen showed the words “kill all” written over a diagram of a classroom.

It was revealed that Prosper wished to gain “lasting notoriety”, dressing up in an eye-catching black and yellow outfit to make himself more memorable.

Prior to carrying out the killing of his family, the teen made a number of chilling internet searches including “Does sex with a corpse feel good?” and “How lethal are neck gunshots?”.

He also had an obsession with the video game The Walking Dead.

In a victim statement, his father, Ray Prosper, said: “The pain of our loss will never be healed, this includes my whole family.

“When I heard the horrendous news that day, part of my soul died too. This is a lose-lose situation for us all and we have lost four family members.”

He says the content of this website is typical of the new kind of extremist authorities are having to tackle – one whose ideology is not as clear-cut, aside from a hateful nihilism of humanity.

“What we’re seeing is that extremists are being persuaded less by specific ideologies, and more an increase in sort of nihilistic ideas,” he told The Sun.

“Just as we know exposure to extreme porn online warps people’s view on the subject, if we take that as an analogy, you can see how watching this kind of content might weaken their views towards violence – normalising it.”

Test of strength

Andy Burrows, the Chief Executive of the Molly Rose Foundation, which has strongly advocated for tougher online laws, said that dealing with sites such as this will test how effective Ofcom’s new powers will be.

“It is incredibly concerning that this site normalises extreme violence which can desensitize viewers and result in young people committing violent acts of their own,” he said.

“How Ofcom deals with small but harmful sites like this will be an early test of their appetite for strong enforcement and it is crucial they get on the front foot.”

A spokesperson for the regulator described this content as “deeply disturbing” and added that sites must now take stringent measures to remove illegal content as quickly as possible.

“We won’t hesitate to take enforcement action wherever and whenever necessary against platforms that fail to comply with their legal duties,” they added.

In response to questioning by The Sun, a representative from the website claimed they would be “thrilled to entertain” any suggestions and recommendations from Ofcom.
