Major supermarket adds Pot Noodle to its meal deal for first time and shoppers will be buzzing

TESCO has added Pot Noodles to its meal deal offering for the first time and shoppers will be thrilled to see the change.

New products are regularly added to the supermarket’s famous meal deal range, but this latest addition could be a game changer.

The supermarket has announced that Pot Noodles will be available as part of its classic meal deal range, priced at £3.60 with a Clubcard.

And, best of all, the Pot Noodle is classed as a snack, so you’ll still be able to get a sandwich, soup, salad or pasta pot and a drink alongside.

At the moment the trial has only been launched in 50 stores, but it’s not confirmed which ones.

The only Pot Noodle flavour available in the deal is chicken and mushroom.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “In selected stores, we have introduced the chicken and mushroom Pot Noodle as a snack option in the Tesco Meal Deal.

“You can pick up a meal deal along with a main and a drink, for just £4 or £3.60 with a Clubcard from today until stocks last.”

When purchased individually from the supermarket, a standard Pot Noodle will set you back £1.10.

So, if bought as a meal deal with a 500ml bottle of Coca-Cola and a ham and cheese sandwich, you could make a saving of £2.20 compared to buying the products individually.

The Tesco meal deal has a cult following and encompasses a large variety of products.

In January the supermarket revealed that the nation’s favourite combination for 2024 included the Tesco chicken club sandwich, a Tesco egg protein pot (90g), and Coca-Cola original taste (500ml).

Tesco based the ranking for the best meal deal on data from Clubcard members’ most purchased combinations in 2024.

Another meal deal surprise was revealed in 2024 when an employee shared that bakery items could also be included in the meal deal.

The year also saw a professional chef sample every sandwich available in the meal deal... and their rankings may surprise you.

The Sun also broke down the figures to reveal the meal deal options that will save you the most cash across major retailers.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
