Major ‘currently unavailable’ Irish Rail warning over ticket services in Dublin as M50 & motorway traffic revealed


IRISH road users are being warned of a number of delays facing them on the roads and on public transport across the country this morning.

A number of public transport delays are impacting passengers, including a ticketing issue.

Rail bosses issued a major warning over ticketing services at Kishogue station.

The service is unavailable at the Dublin station due to ESB maintenance.

Irish Rail warned: “Passengers are advised that due to scheduled maintenance by the ESB, the ticketing facilities at Kishogue station are currently unavailable.

“These services are expected to be restored at 17:00 this evening.”

Meanwhile, on the M7/N7 today a breakdown has impacted motorists in Limerick.

The heavy goods vehicle was broken down between J27 Birdhill and J28 Castletroy.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland warned: “When approaching the breakdown location drive with caution and reduce your speed.

“Some delays to your journey may occur.”

A breakdown on the M50 also caused chaos for drivers in Dublin this morning.


The incident sat between J03 M1/M50 and J02 in the central lane.

It has since been cleared although further delays are impacting the M50.

Consistent congestion is sitting at the Red Cow Roundabout on the M50.

The traffic is headed northbound until J6 M50/N3.

JOURNEY DELAYS

And bosses warned: “Some delays to your journey may occur. When approaching the congestion location, reduce your speed and drive with caution.”

And looking at the roads as a whole this morning Transport Infrastructure Ireland issued a congestion report.

They said: “Delays on M50 Northbound between J10 – J07 & M50 Southbound between J06 – J09.

“Routes Exiting Dublin experiencing delays: N3 E, N4 E, M7 E.

“No delays on N40 at the moment.”

A number of issues are also facing Irish Rail passengers this morning.

The 7:07am M3 Parkway/Docklands service is operating 14 minutes behind while the 7:51am Docklands/M3 Parkway is 10 minutes behind.
