Kathryn often shares snippets of her busy life working on radio and TV.

But today, the mum-of-two decided to take a break away from her hectic schedule to take her two daughters to the zoo.

The 45-year-old brought her kids to the brand-new Zoorassic Trail which opened in Dublin Zoo today.

The Carlow native posted some adorable snippets of the incredible family day out – and it’s safe to say her kids loved it.

Kathryn, Grace and Ellie posed in front of the Zoorassic Trail entrance in one snap.

The trio all gave their best smiles as Kathryn held Ellie in her arms and Grace snuggled up beside her.

The girls were well prepared for the cold weather with winter coats, woollen hats, and cosy jumpers.

Kathryn captioned the photo: “Everyone smiling. About to embark on the #zoorassic trail. That was before she saw this fella.”

The TV star then drew an arrow pointing to a life-like dinosaur in the background.

The former Operation Transformation host then posted a clip of a magnificent robotic dinosaur which made growling noises and moved around.

Kathryn told followers that Ellie was initially “terrified” of the life-like dinos but eventually “loved it”.

She added: “The dinosaurs are so realistic, they’re amazing!”

Another video revealed an incredible blue-coloured dinosaur which peeked out from behind the trees and squawked at passers-by.

LOVELY DAY

The radio star wrote: “The sounds are amazing, and you can hear them all over the zoo!”

Finally, Kathryn shared a clip of Grace and Ellie standing inside a hatched dinosaur egg and smiling from ear-to-ear.

The two girls were super giddy and both exclaimed: “Cheese!”, while Kathryn filmed the sweet moment.
