In the now-deleted post, Kanye used highly offensive language to question the mental capacities of the children.
A source has since told Page Six that the couple are weighing up their options and “will absolutely not stand” for his behaviour.
They said: “Jay-Z and Beyoncé are aware of the posts Kanye has since deleted and are discussing how they want to handle this situation, whether that be privately and/or in a legal matter.”
The insider added that the musicians found his language “vulgar and offensive” and have no immediate plans to address his comments publicly.
Although Kanye has since removed the post, he later clarified that it was not out of remorse.
He tweeted: “I need everyone to know that I took the post about Jay Z and Beyoncé’s family down … because there was a possibility of my Twitter being cancelled.”
Kanye and Jay Z have had a complex friendship over the years, shifting from close collaborators to public rivals.
The two hip-hop icons first teamed up in the early 2000s, with Kanye producing tracks for Jay Z’s albums, including The Blueprint.
The pair later collaborated on their 2011 album Watch the Throne and its namesake world tour.
However, their relationship has faced multiple ups and downs.
Tensions rose when Kanye publicly criticized Jay Z and Beyoncé during his Saint Pablo Tour in 2016, claiming they distanced themselves from him.
Kanye and Beyonce have also had a complicated dynamic.
While Kanye has openly praised Beyonce’s talent, his infamous interruption of Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs – where he declared that Beyoncé deserved the award – caused tension.
Despite their differences, Kanye and the couple have occasionally reconciled, with the Gold Digger rapper even collaborating with Jay on Jail in 2021.

Kanye’s remarks have also drawn strong reactions from his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, 44.
The U.S. Sun revealed yesterday the reality star is finally ready to take legal action of her own following the outburst.
Kim and Kanye currently share legal and physical custody of their four kids, though they nearly always live with their mom.
The Skims mogul has always allowed North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, to see their troubled father, as long as her security and nannies were present.
“Kim wants to underline the point that she has never not allowed Kanye to have the kids and to be their father,” a source reiterated to The U.S. Sun.
“No one is preventing him – he’s the one who chooses to live in Tokyo much of the time.
“She would love nothing more than to see him take an active interest in parenting all four kids.”
He also has the power to make decisions on their behalf, a source confirmed – but that could all soon change.
Though Kanye has always made controversial decisions, like showing off his wife Bianca Censori‘s nearly naked figure on the Grammys red carpet last month, his recent actions have gone too far, the source claimed.
Not only has he praised Hitler and made antisemitic comments, but he used North’s vocals on a new song with his old friend Diddy, who is currently in jail on sex trafficking charges.
According to TMZ, Kanye then invited Andrew and Tristan Tate, who have been charged with human trafficking in Romania, to hang out while North was with him. (A worried Kim reportedly then pulled her oldest daughter home after being tipped off by her security team.)
This week, Kanye made unfounded allegations of Kim being a “sex worker” and “sex trafficker” and made disgraceful comments about former friend Jay-Z and wife Beyonce’s young children.
In a bizarre twist, Kanye then announced he was going to fight for full custody of his kids, though he reportedly rarely sees them.
“Kim is horrified, but she’s not surprised,” the source explained about Kanye’s recent behaviors.
“He’s just digging his own grave here. He’s showing that he is not fit to be a legal parent, nor has the mental capacity to have custody of children.”
Kim and her high-powered lawyers are now “taking action,” the source said.

KANYE’S public meltdowns are nothing new, and many die-hard fans have stuck by him amid his mental health battles, while others have tried to separate the art from the artist.
But in my years covering Ye, I have never known him to be this self-destructive, blowing up what was left of his empire after spending two years building back his reputation. Even fan sites are now logging off after supporting him for years.
Unfortunately, I can’t say his recent meltdown surprises me. His life behind the scenes has been chaotic since his split from Kim Kardashian. He is a ticking time bomb.
Ye previously expressed his frustration at Kim for dressing provocatively. He focused on religion and wanted to relocate to Wyoming full-time.
But his life now couldn’t be any different. He’s often seen parading his wife Bianca Censori around almost naked, and his former assistant claimed he turned his Yeezy office into a “sexual playground” where orgies were the norm, which he denied.
During his hateful rants on X, he posted several adult videos and I fear his porn addiction is out of control.
When he recently revealed on a friend’s podcast that he had come off meds for bipolar and instead believed he was autistic, it was clear things may go south.
He has suffered from manic episodes for years, and I believe he should be medicated, have a regular therapist, and stay clear of drugs and alcohol.
Now his marriage to Bianca Censori is in trouble, and although the lifestyle may be fun, I doubt being around him at the moment is.
Many in his inner circle are enablers, except for a few who have tried to save him from himself and sadly failed.
A public pile-on could only backfire in these circumstances, although I stand by the Jewish community and think his comments have been unforgivable.
Kanye needs to step back from public life, he needs to get help, and he needs to get to the root of his issues once and for all.
He is a 47-year-old man who has already ruined his legacy and needs to be responsible for his own actions, not only for his sake, and for the sake of his children.
“Her team is in crisis mode. The plan is to lodge something with the court this week and using the fact that Kanye stated his plans to seek full custody of the kids.
“The plan is to question whether he is ‘mentally fit’ to do so, and then get the ball rolling.
“It’s a pretty fast-moving situation. Kim is determined to get Kanye and his threats removed from her life, she says she can’t live like this anymore.
“So despite her fears and worries over it, she knows it’s her only course of action to protect her and her children.”
A rep for Kim did not respond to a comment request at the time.
KIM’S NIGHTMARE
Kim split from Kanye in 2021 and has coped with his online rants on and off ever since.
Before their divorce, she told the public Kanye has bipolar disorder.
“Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand,” she said in 2020.
Kanye has claimed he was misdiagnosed with the disorder.
He is now married to Bianca, but the couple has not been seen together in weeks.
Kanye has been living at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons hotel, despite recently purchasing a $35 million Beverly Hills estate.
Before relocating back to LA, he lived in Tokyo for months, rarely seeing his children during this time, The U.S. Sun previously reported.
