Kaizer Chiefs XI next season with FIVE brand new signings?

Kaizer Chiefs have made a huge splash in the winter transfer window. Is this a potential starting XI for the Glamour Boys?

The board has added new options in all departments except the goalkeeping position.

Is that the next problem to solve?

Potential Kaizer Chiefs XI for next season

Bvuma; Monyane, Miguel, Dortley, Shinga; Cele, Velebayi, Chislett, Lilepo; Ighodaro.

Former Orlando Pirates full-back duo Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane would add experience in defence. 25-year-old Nkanyiso Shinga is another new option at left-back, after spending seven years in Portugal. 31-year-old Thibang ‘Cafu’ Phete is a versatile operator who can play as the hard man in midfield or in defence. 22-year-old winger Asanele Velebayi has been a long-standing target, while 26-year-old playmaker Ethan Chislett returns to South Africa after Port Vale got relegated to the fourth tier of English football. Etiosa Ighodaro and the relatively unknown Flavio Silva could bolster the attack. Chiefs leave for the Netherlands on Thursday, 03 July, and the club is expected to announce the new signings by that date.

Kaizer Chiefs won’t be facing Holland’s best teams

The behind-closed-doors (no fans in the stadium) clash with Utrecht was initially going to be the first match of the tour. However, Chiefs face Vitesse first on 08 July. What’s also slightly underwhelming is that none of the traditional three giants, Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV Eindhoven, are on the itinerary. The last time that none of those sides won the Dutch Eredivisie was when Twente became champions in 2009-2010.
