You could say that Kaizer Chiefs have lost a reliable recruitment relationship following the abrupt sale of SuperSport United to the newly formed Siwelele FC.
The now-defunct SuperSport United had become a trusted talent pipeline for Kaizer Chiefs, supplying three signings in just two years.
While it was a free transfer, the relationship came to life in 2023 with the arrival of Botswana international Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, who joined Amakhosi that year. The centre-back quickly established himself as a mainstay in Amakhosi’s defence before he was sold to Al-Ittihad in Libya last term.

Most recently, midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu became the third player to switch from SuperSport to Kaizer Chiefs, signing a three-year deal.
His arrival was seen as a major boost to the club’s midfield options ahead of a demanding season that will include the CAF Confederation Cup.
However, following the club’s acquisition and relocation, Supersport United is now under new ownership as Siwelele FC, leaving the relationship with Kaizer Chiefs uncertain and possibly lost.
