Kai Cenat’s Ranking of Batman: Arkham Games Is Crazier Than a Road Lizard: He Gave the Best Game the Worst Rating

The Batman: Arkham series is one of the best franchises in the entire world. It gives all Batman fans a chance to experience being the Dark Knight himself in the DC world of Gotham. The series has four main games that drive the entire narrative of the franchise, and all four of them are developed by Rocksteady Games.

Although the franchise as a whole is commendable and holds a very special place in our hearts, Kai Cenat, one of the most popular streamers in the world, who recently ranked the games, has gained a lot of side-eyes from the hardcore fans of the franchise. How was the ranking off and why are fans disapproving of it? Let’s find out.

Kai Cenat’s ranking of the Batman games is insane

Kai Cenat is a Twitch streamer and is one of the most subscribed creators on the platform. He specializes in comedy, and his content usually revolves around just chatting with his online audience, reacting to media, or playing games for his fans.

Cenat had recently announced a Batman: Arkham series marathon stream where he would play the four core games in the series in the order of their release. This gained a lot of attention because of a really high-quality trailer that he released on YouTube which ensured enough views on his stream. After the stream ended, Cenat officially rated the Arkham games and the rating is surprising, to say the least.

Cenat rated 9.5/10 to Arkham Origins and 8/10 to Arkham Asylum, ranking Asylum as the worst game in the entire series. Although he probably gave the rating without analyzing the games too much, rating Asylum the lowest is just outrageous, and most fans agree with that sentiment.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is the first installment in the franchise and it blew the minds of gamers when it was first released back in 2009. The title is written by the famous writer Paul Dini, who is a veteran Batman screenwriter. The game plays like a dream and features some of the best villains from the entire Batman universe, including the Joker, Ivy, Bane, Scarecrow, Killer Croc, and Zsasz. The game even adds the annoying Riddler, who just comments on how bad Batman is at everything he does.

Asylum is what introduced gamers to the twisted universe of Gotham, where players can actually be Batman and use his impressive skills and gadgets to uncover the mysteries and defeat the villains. Although the game is more than a decade old, it still holds a lot of emotional significance to Batman fans.

The Batman: Arkham franchise holds a lot of personal connection to a lot of players and the first game in the series Batman: Arkham Asylum just evokes nostalgia in the players. While Kai Cenat is entitled to his own personal rating, ranking Asylum as the worst game in the series is just shocking to the fans of the series and gamers in general.

Asylum’s gripping narrative, dark and unsettling environments, and gameplay mechanics laid the foundation for the games that were released after it. The title carried the entire series on its back when it was released, and without Asylum there would be no City, Origins, or Knight. Asylum’s impact in the gaming world is far greater than any numerical value that is given to it.

We are still unsure whether Kai Cenat will change his rating in the future or not, but one thing is certain: Arkham Asylum will remain ranked the highest in our hearts.
