Wrestler turned actor John Cena once revealed that he does not want to have kids because with kids comes the burden of responsibilities and saying goodbye to a free and careless life.
Cena claimed he and his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh, are on the same page regarding the issue. The couple wants to break the matrix and not waste the prime years of their life settling down and looking after kids.
John Cena reveals why he will never have kids

In an interview with Super Bowl champion Shannon Sharpe on his podcast Club Shay Shay, Cena addressed the issue.
“I don’t think I’m personally ready, nor will I ever be, to invest the time it needs to make a great parent. I want to live life,” he explained. “I still have a lot to do.”
Cena went on to open up about how he approached his now wife with the discussion of not having kids in their initial dating stages.
I opened with a few uncomfortable conversations,” he told Sharpe. “Those were first or second date questions with my now-wife. It’s great because we both got to lean into these uncomfortable moments, address this stuff and build a foundation. Nothing is too uncomfortable to be unapproachable.
The WWE superstar also explained that he didn’t decide not to have kids overnight, but had carefully thought this through before fixating on a decision.
John Cena Opens Up About His Marriage to Shay Shariatzadeh

John Cena met Shay Shariatzadeh in 2019 when one of her friends asked the WWE superstar for a photo in a restaurant on a Super Bowl Sunday. The couple went on to tie the knot a year later.
“So I got a picture with her, and then she brought my wife-to-be over, we have our first fan photo, which we hang proudly where we hang our hats. It’s awesome,” Cena said on The Howard Stern Show in February 2024.

Cena then talked about how he approached Shay and how quickly they became close to each other.
“I asked her for her number, and she gave me her number, and I didn’t wait the two days [to reach out],” he continued. “I left the restaurant and on my walk home I [texted], ‘It was so nice to meet you, you’re beautiful, I’d like to get to know you more. “
“If you have any free time coming up, I’ll make time for you.’ She’s, like, ‘You want to go out this weekend?’ I said, ‘Sure.’”
Shariatzadeh and Cena are often found travelling around the world and creating memories to cherish on the last of their days. The couple’s decision of not having kids and living a carefree life is supported by many fans around the world, as people have the right to live according to their own desires.
