Jessica Biel Honors World Down Syndrome Day With Sweet Tribute to Niece Zaya

Jessica Biel is a proud and supportive aunt and sister. The actress shared a sweet tribute on Instagram today to honor World Down Syndrome Day.

“Today is #WorldDownSyndromeDay, a cause close to my heart because of my wonderful niece, [Zaya]. Along with [my brother and sister-in-law], I’m supporting @globaldownsyndrome to help more individuals thrive,” she captioned a priceless carousel on Instagram.

In the touching photos, she and young Zaya pose together in frilly dresses. Biel opted for all black, while her niece donned a white dress with pink accents. In the opening shot, they blow kisses at the camera, and it just gets cuter from there. You can tell they have a special bond, especially when you get to the last candid where they hold hands and have the biggest grins.

“Everyone deserves the care they need,” Biel continued her caption. “Let’s make a difference together!”

Biel’s husband Justin Timberlake — with whom she shares sons Silas and Phineas —quickly hopped in the comments with two red heart emojis. Other followers were touched, writing things like, “Thank you for advocating for and highlighting people with Down Syndrome!” and “CUTENESS OVERLOAD 😍.”

Biel isn’t the only celebrity to speak out on World Down Syndrome Day 2025. Grey’s Anatomy star Caterina Scorsone posted a tribute in honor of her daughter Pippa. She posted two black-and-white photos with Pippa who she shares with ex-husband Rob Giles along with daughters Eliza and Lucky.

“Today is a day when we remember that every single person is unique,” Scorsone wrote. “They are unique in their perspective, in their experiences and in their genes and chromosomes.”

“If you want to know how to Love (which I promise you is better than owning a T*sla) try loving a person for all that they specifically, are,” she continued. “Maybe even try loving someone who’s chromosomes have a little bit extra.”

And Amanda Booth — whose son Micah has a dual diagnosis of Down syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder — wished a Happy World Down Syndrome Day “to all our homies with extra chromies.”

“We are so grateful to have such a powerful, and beautiful community! I am endlessly proud of all the families we have grown so close with 💙💛💙💛,” the model wrote alongside stunning photos of her sweet 10-year-old who she shares with husband Mike Quinones.

And on it went. Because so many moms, aunts, and others in Hollywood know and love a “homie with extra chromies.” To learn more about Down syndrome — and how you can support Zaya, Pippa, Micah, and the hundreds of thousands of other kids diagnosed with the genetic disorder — visit www.worlddownsyndromeday.org or the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS).
