“It’s a shame”: ‘Solo Leveling’ Producer Calls Out Leakers After Episode 11 Mishap Ruins Months of Efforts and Anticipation

It’s not the first time something like this has happened, it’s a pretty common occurrence in the industry at this point. Even recently, we had Netflix leaking multiple series way ahead of their scheduled broadcast dates, which created much commotion within the community. And now we have it again, this time with Solo Leveling episode 11!

Not only does it hurt the creators from a revenue perspective, but it also makes them feel like a waste of their efforts.

The entire creative team pours their hearts and souls into these projects, and seeing their work leaked prematurely can be quite demotivating and frustrating. However, in this case, the producer of the Solo Leveling anime took a bold step and did something that was really needed – calling out the leakers himself!

Now the episode 11 hype will definitely dial down a bit

The entire Solo Leveling production team, including animators, writers, and voice actors, have invested countless hours and effort into bringing this epic Manhwa to the big screens in the best way possible. So, it’s extremely disheartening to see their hard work leaked, and it hurts the fans’ loyalty and anticipation as well.

Interestingly, we can see a few fans have taken matters into their own hands and even identified potential leakers on X. Their collective outrage demonstrates how strong the bond between creators and fans can be, proving the importance of protecting intellectual property.

What makes this leak particularly disappointing is that episode 11 of Solo Leveling was highly anticipated among the fans. There is supposed to be an epic action sequence that might make fans go crazy. That’s why having it spoiled through a leak is such a major letdown for everyone involved, and it’s understandable that fans are upset.

As already mentioned, the Solo Leveling producer, Kaneko-san, went straight to X and posted about the leaked episode, and it’s clear they’re feeling pretty disappointed. They thanked fans for being excited but also expressed how sad they were that the footage got out before the official release. He admitted how shameful it is for them.

Luckily, fans are super supportive, and of course, they should be. They’re standing up for the producer and the rest of the team, saying how much they appreciate all their hard work and promising to stick to the official releases.

Isn’t it quite fascinating to see the fandom coming together like this?

However, it’s also sad to admit it, but episode leaks like this will still happen in the future, and right now, it seems kind of inevitable. As loyal fans, what we can only do is support the official releases and be mindful of how we consume content. Never let the creators’ creative spirits dim down. And who knows, maybe one day in the distant future, we’ll see a world where leaks are a thing of the past!

Solo Leveling is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
