The Elbaph arc introduced us to a lot of different hidden mysteries of One Piece and one of them included the members of the God’s Knight who are trying to kidnap the giant children. However, out of the four newly introduced God’s Knights the one who is most peculiar is definitely Gunko, who arrived first with Shamrock and gave Loki a run for his money.

She is quite mysterious and her lineage or heritage is unknown to One Piece fans. Thus, it is a point of intrigue about her character and while Eiichiro Oda will eventually reveal everything about her, he might have already dropped some major hints. One such hint was indirectly explained by Shamrock’s individual development in the One Piece story.
This has led to fans speculate that Gunko might be the first daughter of Ginny, Jewelry Bonney’s mother and a former member of the Revolutionary Army. It would not only explain her heritage, but also her praise towards the Celestial Dragons, and her fear of Sun God Nika in One Piece.
The many mysteries about Gunko’s character in One Piece
When the members of the God’s Knight entered the Elbaph arc, they were automatically tagged as the main antagonists of the One Piece narrative and since then they have proved it right every single time. Among the four, the one who has made the most contribution to the storyline as of yet is Gunko, who arrived first with Saint Figarland Shamrock.
She not only knocked out the giant guards but even thrashed Loki and his pet animals using her Devil Fruit powers. During their conversation, she revealed what a great honor it was to be a part of the Celestial Dragons, and even guided the giant children in their sleep. After all these developments, it is safe to assume that she will have a big role in the One Piece storyline.
And while her development within the story continues, there are some aspects of her identity that are a big mystery. First is her eyes which are quite different from each other. Second is her need to cover her face with bandages. And finally, out of all four God’s Knight members introduced in One Piece, she is the only one who does not have the Celestial Dragon saint title.
Eiichiro Oda might have hinted at Gunko’s lineage
The fact that Gunko cannot use the Saint title despite being a God’s Knight member suggests that she most likely is the daughter of a Celestial Dragon and a woman from the lower world in One Piece. This is the only explanation behind her development, and the only other One Piece character who has the same scenario is Jewelry Bonney.

Her mother, Ginny was captured by the World Government and forced to become the eighth wife of a Celestial Dragon.

It was also revealed that she was experimented on and the result of it was the disease that killed her after giving birth to Bonney. There is a big possibility that either Gunko has a similar case, or she is the first daughter of Ginny.
Both of them have quite a few resemblances, including the goggles they wear. If she grew up between Celestial Dragons like Shamrock, she is bound to get the same arrogance as them and also fear Sun God Nika, who is right now their biggest enemy in One Piece. In the end, it will all depend on how Eiichiro Oda plays her character and explains her significance in Elbaph.
