Irish sisters Lisa and Aoife O’Rourke BOTH bag World Boxing Champs medals within hour of each other

LISA and Aoife O’Rourke celebrated a bronze brace after both battling their way to World Boxing Championships semi-finals.

In a stunning hour of action in Nis, Serbia yesterday — the Castlerea siblings each won their bouts to guarantee medals.

First up was light-middleweight Lisa, 22, who beat Moroccan Saidi Lahmidi via a unanimous decision.

The younger sister is now a two-time world medallist after her 2022 gold in Istanbul and will take on Natalia Bogdanova of Kazakhstan today for a place in a deciding bout.

And not long after, middleweight Aoife, 27, won a split decision against Uzbek fighter Aziza Zokirova.

She will now face a semi-final encounter against home favourite Nikolina Gajic.
