He may look like his dad President Donald Trump, but Barron Trump reportedly takes after his mom Melania Trump — well, in all ways except one. Insiders dished all about the 19-year-old New York University student and revealed the only area he is similar to the 47th president.
Sources told PEOPLE that Barron is “an old soul who is smart, well-spoken and well-read,” referring to his mother’s and grandparents Viktor and Amalija Knavs, Slovenian influence. The insider went on, “He has lived through experiences others his age haven’t. He is well-grounded, he has seen a lot and he knows who he is.”
The insider said that Barron has “old world manners.” Another European source told PEOPLE that Barron “has more characteristics of a European than an American.”
“He isn’t as aggressive as many of his age when they are in their own social circles,” they added. “He is someone who listens before talking, and is super polite.” Well that certainly doesn’t sound anything like Donald Trump.
However, there is one area he is apparently just like the former The Apprentice host: his love of making money.
“Barron is anxious to form his own companies and make money,” a political source told PEOPLE. “He shares that enthusiasm with his father, which comes as no surprise. Barron, in my opinion, knows what he wants.”
In an interview with Fox News on Thursday, Trump called his son a “smart guy” who is good with “technology.”
“He can look at a computer. I try I turn it off. As I turn it off I turn off his laptop. I said, oh good. And I go back. Five minutes later, he’s got his laptop. I say, how did you do that? None of your business, dad. No. He’s got an unbelievable aptitude in technology,” Trump said.
“Barron’s a very smart guy,” he added.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see what he does after graduation!
